What I love about the South

Good afternoon Oh so gracious blogosphere! In our first post we mentioned our desire to find our HOME. I put that in bold because while we were living in the state of Utah it felt.... off... For those of you not familiar with the southern states, instead of asking someone "where do you live?" a very common expression (while not grammatically correct) is "Where you stay at?" While we were in Utah we felt like we were simply "Staying" there and not actually LIVING. It was very troubling to us and it made us feel like we were not being true to ourselves. Needless to say.... quite frustrating.... So anyway we sat down and decided to find our HOME. After much thought, conversation and prayer we decided to move near Lisa's mom in the southern Houston area in Texas, and we love it! We live only 5 minutes from the ocean, 25 minutes or so from Galveston Island and the beach and incredible historic district that exists on "The Strand". Aaaanyway the reason for this rambling is that one of our main goals with this blog is to possibly help others that may be feeling the same way that we did. We want to encourage you to find yourselves, wherever that may be and whoever that may be. In the words of the great Billy S. "Above all else, to thine own self be true"
